The Alia Dann Swift Bursary Scheme

ILMC's bursary scheme is available for a small number of young professionals and start-up companies, and is intended to provide a route for those who would otherwise not be able to attend, to participate in ILMC for the first time.

Earlier this year, the scheme was renamed in memory of Alia Dann Swift. Alia was ILMC’s long-standing producer who passed away in 2017 after a short illness. She was instrumental in both bringing talent into the industry, and supporting and encouraging new ILMC members.

The closing date to apply is 29 January 2018, with successful applicants being notified in the first week of February. A bursary scheme place is a full ILMC delegate pass. Details of all successful applicants will remain strictly confidential.

IPM 2018

2018 marks the 11th edition of the ILMC Production Meeting (IPM), which all ILMC delegates are welcome to register for.

A leading meet-up of production professionals from around the globe, it takes place on Tuesday 6 March (the day before ILMC starts), on the spacious lower ground floor of the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

The one-day event includes four conference panels, a series of Production Notes sessions showcasing innovations and new initiatives in the sector; as well as a five-star buffet lunch and refreshments; plus many networking opportunities, and a closing party shared with delegates from the Green Events & Innovations Conference, which takes place concurrently.

Early-bird IPM passes cost £115 but ILMC delegates can register for a discounted fee of £75 until 19 January 2018. So sign-up when you register for ILMC, or if you've already registered for ILMC, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

ILMC 30 Gala Dinner & Arthur Awards

This year, the highlight of the live music industry’s calendar will quite literally be out of this world. Over 350 guests – the leading explorers and star makers in the business – will be whisked off-planet as we take an interstellar journey to The Gala-ctic Dinner & Arthur Awards.

The space voyage begins at the opulent 8Northumberland hotel, which boasts one of the grandest Victorian interiors in London along with critically acclaimed cuisine and service, and is just yards from Trafalgar Square.

Travellers may experience a feeling of weightlessness after the champagne reception, which is followed by an exquisite five-star, four-course feast, with a selection of fine wines to match. In addition to the finest cuisine in the cosmos, universally renowned entertainment and the annual Pop Quiz will see guests teleported to new heights of enjoyment. ILMC 30 charity announced

Every year ILMC's Nikos Fund raises money for charity. The Nikos Fund was set-up to commemorate the life and contribution to the ILMC of one of our founding members, the late Nikos Sachpasidis. This year’s worthy cause is Music Support – an organisation that provides help and support for individuals in any area of the music industry who are suffering from alcoholism, addiction, emotional or mental health issues.

A donation from every ILMC registration goes towards the Nikos Fund, and there are many other ways to contribute, including participating in the Texas Probe 'em Poker Tourney on Wednesday 7 March, or the Nikos Fund Prize Draw on Friday 9 March. Or you can add any spare change (both metal and paper welcome) to the collection tins strategically placed around the hotel or occasionally rattled in your face by enthusiastic ILMC space crew.

ILMC 30 registration open!

Somewhat amazingly, the live music industry’s favourite gathering will celebrate its 30th birthday in 2018 – which is not bad for something that was originally intended to be a one-off meeting.

However, celebrations at ILMC HQ have been muted by the fact that the approaching anniversary has unexpectedly triggered an automatic government declassification, revealing the shocking truth about the conference. After three decades of disinformation and misleading guises, the ILMC has been unmasked as the Interplanetary Life-forms Moderation Corps – a top-secret agency established to monitor the various weird and wonderful otherworldly inhabitants of the live music universe.

We can now reveal that during Earth dates 6-9 March 2018, over 1,000 interplanetary travellers will invade our top-secret underground base - a location cunningly disguised as one of London’s best five-star hotels, The Royal Garden, but so hush hush that it makes Area 51 look about as covert as Disneyland.

All the highly classified data you need to land at ILMC can be found on this highly confidential website, and we’ll also be dispatching regular updates in our for-your-eyes-only e.News service, as well as in that covert organ of cover-ups and disinformation, IQ Magazine

One piece of not-so-secret information is that the Royal Garden Hotel HQ can only squeeze in a finite number of foreign bodies and Earth-bound visitors. ILMC typically sells out in advance so it’s advisable to register before we run outta space.

Though, if you’re faster than light you might even scoop the much-coveted ILMC Mug Award (for being the first mug to register) in the process.
