Alien app-duction

It’s exactly a week until ILMC 30 blasts off, welcoming a veritable galaxy of interplanetary visitors to Earth for a dazzling few days of galactic mystery solving.

In order to help you get the most out of the conference, the ILMC 30 app is now available to download. Built by the technology solution whizz kids at Greencopper, the app features full session details, speakers’ biogs, event info, and allows you to personalise your schedule and set-up reminders so you don’t miss a thing.

If you used the app last year, you should receive an automatic update from the app store.  If you’re new to such foreign technologies, don’t be app-rehensive… download it now using the appropriate button below…

ILMC 30 sells out

With under three weeks to go, the 30th International Live Music Conference (ILMC) has sold out, organisers have announced.

All tickets for the ‘Close Encounters of the 30th Kind’-themed anniversary conference, which kicks off with Tuesday 6 March’s 30th Birthday Blast-Off, have now been snapped up, as well as for the Gala-ctic Dinner & Arthur Awards on Thursday 8 March.

A limited number of passes remain for the 11th ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) and the tenth Green Events & Innovations (GEI) conference, which both take place on 6 March, and for Friday’s closing dinner.

“We’re thrilled that so many of the great and good of the global live music business will be joining us to celebrate ILMC’s 30th birthday,” says ILMC MD Greg Parmley. “Demand for places at ILMC is at a record level this year, and with over 1,100 delegates now confirmed, we’re set for one of our best editions yet.”

ILMC 30 final panels 'launched'

In order to help ILMC fulfil its mission of maintaining peace and harmony among the music worlds, we are delighted to release news of two final session topics…

On Wednesday 7 March, Live Nation Sweden’s Anna Sjölund hosts Festival Summit Workshop: The innovators, which will take a look at the most innovative new formats and ideas in the global music festival market.  From new forms of entertainment and offerings to the wildest sites and weirdest spaces, Anna invites a series of innovators to present.

Later that day, Workshop: New frontiers in merchandise will see hosts Jeremy Goldsmith of Event Merchandising, and Tom Greenwood-Mears, from Endemol Shine take a look at contemporary merchandise. This hands-on workshop will include case studies of the most innovative merch solutions in live music and the broader entertainment market, new bundling options, and the hottest new products and ideas in the whole of the merch galaxy.

ILMC 30 Poker Tourney

One of the highlights of Wednesday night at ILMC is the Texas Probe 'em Poker Tourney, which sees hustlers and gamblers from across the live music universe battle it out, while raising money for this year’s Nikos Fund charity, Music Support.

It’s not hard to find a decent card game on Earth, but few assemble such a cast of stellar characters OR raise money for such a worthy cause. And with a series of bar tab prizes up for grabs, the stakes are always high.

The poker tourney is hosted by our amigos at Emporium Presents, and this year takes place in a larger space and features roulette and more.
